By Educating youth on the intricacies of the human brain, Lifting Up STL believes we can flatten the curve of drug use in adolescents. To accomplish this, we sponsor the Brain Awareness program featuring real human brain specimens, presented by Dr. Paul H. Young.

A native St. Louisan, Dr. Paul H. Young provided neurosurgical care for patients with brain disorders and has been recognized as a “Best Doctors of America” Neurosurgical Expert. Recently retired from the OR after 45 years, Dr. Young is making his expertise available as an educator at all levels on the current understanding of human brain structure, function, potential, and pitfalls.
