Help, Support, Guide, Mentor & More

Lifting Up STL is a nonprofit organization that provides a helping hand through guidance and education while also administering services and support to individuals and families in the St. Louis community.

“Give a man a fish and feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish and you feed him for a lifetime.”

With the goal of producing lifelong change, our team will provide a range of guidance offering the following services and programs. Our vision is to help uplift the St. Louis community in any way that we can. That could be helping individuals create lifelong change in their own lives or helping groups of people to make our city a more peaceful and inclusive place to live.

Transitional Housing Project

A once independent individual or family can find themselves homeless due to job loss, health issues, divorce, domestic abuse, substance use disorder, or a personal or family crisis. Without a support network, they quickly spiral. Transitional Housing provides temporary housing and offers support, stability and services which might include life skills training, education, mental health services, and so much more.

Lifting Up STL is proud to announce plans for our first Transitional Home, made possible by the very generous donation of a residential lot in Affton. Our objective is to provide a safe temporary home to individuals and/or families while setting the groundwork to alter the trajectory of their lives. The goal is to empower them with the tools, knowledge, experience and confidence to secure long term housing and become financially independent before graduating from our program.

We are enthusiastic about the future of our first Transitional Home and laser focused on more projects to come. Architectural drawings and plans will be posted when available!!

Community Benefit

People of all ages are struggling for a multitude of reasons. Some have lacked guidance since childhood, some have been dealt extremely difficult situations and some are just stuck in an unproductive rut. Our goal is to help individuals in our St. Louis community get back on the right path.
